Samsung Galaxy A22 5G and 4G specs leaked ahead of launch

Samsung is looking to bring 5G to the budget segment with its upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone. The specs of the upcoming Galaxy A22 5G and 4G varint have been leaked ahead of the official launch. 

The Samsung Galaxy A22 is expected to launch soon globally as well as in India, with no clarity on the launch date, we now have most of the specs of the upcoming A-series budget phone from Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ LCD screen. Under the hood, the device is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimnensity 700 chipset, which will also make this the first device from Samsung to feature the Dimensity series chipset. 

The Dimensity 700 is an octa-core processor built on top of a 7nm process with two Cortex-A76 CPU cores clocked at 2.2Ghz and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores running at 2GHz. Taking care of the graphics and gaming is the Mali-G57 GPU clocked at 950MHz. The chipset also supports a 5G network. 

Further, the device will come with a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP + 5MP + 2MP setup. Powering the device will be a 5,000mAh battery backed by a 15W fast charger. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dew-drop notch, 205-gram weight, and a 9mm profile.

The 4G version is said to come with the same 6.4-inch screen, but with an AMOLED panel. The device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek G80 chipset. In the camera department, the device is said to bring a quad-camera with 48MP+5MP+2MP+2MP configurations while the selfies will be handled by a 13MP shooter on the front. The device will come with 6GB of RAM. 

The Samsung Galaxy A22 4G is also said to come with the same 5,000mAh battery unit with 15W fast charging. In terms of dimensions, the device is said to be 8.5mm thick and weigh 185g. Both the 4G and 5G variants will be available in four colour options - Black, White, Purple, and Green.
